"Fatigue calculations for floating constructions", was the main issue for the conference arranged by Norwegian Structural Steel Association in Oslo in November 2008.

John Riis from Inocean was one of the experts in the panel. The subject for his presentation was, "Fatigue calculations of tankers converted to FPSOs". 
 
In his presentation Riis addressed issues like:

- Required calculations
- Calculation methods
- Example of methods for stochastic calculations
- Common fatigue damages for tankers
- Risk assessment
