The MPF project was Inocean's pioneer contract for design of a complete harsh environment drilling and production vessel. In 2011 the company also introduced the INO-80 design to the market.
MPF 1000 (Dalian Developer)
The MPF1000 is a self-propelled, dynamically positioned (DP) vessel designed for simultaneous drilling, early production and storage. Main functional areas – drilling, production and storage – are as much as possible self-contained, featuring minimal interfaces and interdependencies. The unit is designed for harsh environments with a hull constructed for -30° C, DNV ice-class ICE-C, and it has a 40-year fatigue.
In July 2010 COSCO Dalian took over the hull, equipment and EPC responsibility for completion of the drillship, now named Dalian Developer.
Inocean has been the overall responsible naval architect for the project including all structural and system design for classification documentation.
INO-80
INO-80 is a compact dynamically positioned drillship with large free deck areas, designed for year-around operations in ultra deep waters. The design was introduced to the market for the first time at OTC 2011 in Houston. When targeting the drilling market with the INO-80 design, Inocean has partnered up with COSCO (DALIAN) SHIPYARD CO LTD.
The vessel has well planned utility arrangement with safe and reliable material handling. The hull is shaped for cost efficient and easy fabrication, as well as for challenging conditions during station keeping and transit. INO-80 features for exploration, appraisal and development drilling.
