Inocean has acquired the ownership to Marotecs MODU designs. This includes the Marotec Marosso M56. The prototype Transocean Arctic is currently operating in the Norwegian Sea. Inocean is also the key engineers to Ocean Rig for the development of Erik Raude and Leiv Erikson.
Inocean Marotec develops and licenses class-approved MODU designs for yards and ship-owners. These MODU designs are typically developed for harsh environments and ultra deepwater, which are high rated drilling conditions.
The Giant
We are developing Giant 10k, a sixth-generation drilling semisubmersible designed to operate in ultra deepwater and harsh environments. The Giant 10k is configured for dual drilling and has both a 12-point mooring system and a powerful dynamic positioning system (DP3).

Environmentally friendly profile
The Giant 10k is specially designed for arctic conditions and has an environmentally friendly profile that includes NOX reduction, high energy utilization with waste heat recovery and no harmful discharge thanks to a closed drain system. The rig is also winterized, allowing year-round operations in arctic conditions.
Our aim? The Giant 10k is to be the preferred MODU for customers planning a newbuilding in this area.
