Inocean continues to expand and is now opening a new office in Gothenburg Sweden. The office is led by Professor, PhD. Björn Fagerström.
Inocean has undergone considerable growth since it was founded in 1996. Activities now include several wholly- or partially-owned companies that deliver technology, skills and solutions to the maritime industry worldwide.
"The Swedish office will bring a whole set of new business opportunities. It will give Inocean direct contact with experienced and highly specialised design engineers that will create a perfect springboard for the coming overseas locations," says CEO Jon Erik Borgen at Inocean.
"Björn Fagerström has held central positions in companies that have tackled large and complex projects in areas and markets that are pertinent for Inocean. With his competence, experience and wide array of contacts in the international offshore and energy industry, we expect the Gothenburg office to help move Inocean forward. An increasing share of our business is from abroad and we expect this growing internationalization to continue."
Jon Erik Borgen adds that the foothold in Gothenburg is a particularly good move for Inocean. Sweden's second-largest city has a strong professional environment in the maritime and engineering field, and its short distance from Oslo will facilitate synergies between the two offices.
Björn Fagerström, Professor (PhD), comes recently from the position as Project Director of GVA Consultants AB, where he was responsible for the GVA Jack & St. Malo FPU project for GOM. He also acted as project sponsor for other Semi and FPSO projects. Björn has over 25 years of experience from international project and company management together with business development in Offshore, Pulp and Paper and Manufacturing industry. Mr. Fagerström has also worked for Pharmadule Emtunga in several roles, such as R&D manager, Engineering Manager and Product Manager.
