Anchor Contracting (AC), owned by Inocean, has received a Letter Of Intent from NKT Flexibles for the EPC delivery of a Mid Water Arch (MWA) System for the Mumbai High west of Indian peninsular.
The system consists of a MWA Tank Assembly with 2 pressurized buoyancy tanks, tether connections and finally a gravity base anchor. The system will support 6 flexible risers and have a net net buoyancy of 175 tonnes. The delivery is planned to be September 2012.
The ultimate client for this project is the Indian state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) who has hired a floating oil production system to produce oil from its D1 oilfield off the Mumbai coast.
The MWA delivered by Anchor Contracting, has achieved major recognition, and the system has been installed for vessels operating in Asia and offshore Brazil as well as in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico
