Project of the year

Offshore Magazine has chosen Cascade and Chinook as one of the top five offshore field development projects for 2010. The field will be operated by BW Pioneer, which will be the first FPSO in US waters. BW Pioneer is the largest FPSO project that Inocean has been involved in ever (client: BW Offshore).

Offshore Magazine writes in the latest edition that the award winners was selected on the basis of innovation in production method, application of technology and resolution of challenges along with safety, environmental protection and project execution.

Petroleo Brasilerio (Petrobras) is the operator of Cascade and Chinook field in the US Gulf of Mexico. Petrobras will become the first oil company to operate an FPSO-type production system in US water. BW Offshore won the FPSO contract with Petrobras in August 2007 and selected Inocean as one of their key engineering partners.

For Inocean BW Pioneer is the largest and probably the most demanding FPSO job ever, but the company is proud of having participated in bringing FPSO technology to the Gulf of Mexico.
