Royal visit
Crown Prince Haakon visited the Inocean engineered FPSO, Yuum K'ak Naab, which is a success in the Gulf of Mexico.

Yuum K'ak Naab is the world's biggest FPSO vessel and the first and only FPSO in the Gulf of Mexico. Inocean was BWO's engineering partner for hull and topside integration in the conversion from tanker to FPSO, finished in Desember 2006.

Yuum K'ak Naab is now producing 170 000 barrels per day of heavy oil at the giant Ku Maloob Zaap.  Upstream writes that the vessel is a success and refers to Pemex director-general Jesus Reyes Heroles, who proclaims:

"This project has shown what can be done as we move further away from the coast. The FPSO is a fine solution; this is the future."

Heroles also opens up for another big FPSO in new discovered reservoirs in Ku Maloob Zaap.

During his official visit to Mexico Crown Prince Haakon also entered Yuum K'ak Naab. Afterwards he said:  Norway is interested in cooperating more in Mexico's oil industry.

Inocean is also BWO's engineeering partner in the convertion of BW Pioneer, which will be the first FPSO in the US Golf of Mexico.
