Inocean has paid close attention to the environment from the very start. One outcome is the establishment of SWAY, in which Inocean still is one of the key owners.

Sway intends to locate it's first turbine in the ocean outside Karmøy in Rogaland, where it will be connected to a planned testing center for marine renewable energy. The testing period is estimated at 2 years.

In connection to this, Sway applied for concession to Norges Vassdrags-og energidirektoratet. The purpose of the project will be to test the Sway turbine in fullscale, produce power to grid and to gather operation experience for future production of floating offshore wind turbines.
